I've been trying to find out if there is an active group in Utah to support families with a child with CDH. I live up in Brigham City with my 22 YO daughter, who was born with CDH and was adopted by us at age 6 months. She'd been through a lot of trauma by then and the struggle wasn't over but, except for needing surgery at age ten for severe scoliosis, she has done very well over all. Except for the scars and the fact that her back isn't 100% straight, you'd never know of all the trauma of her early life. She is beautiful, intelligent and extremely talented. She's an incredible photographer. If there are any events held here, she would love to photograph them.
I've also wondering if anyone in Utah is collecting items to put together into support bags for families who have CDH babies. I'm an avid crocheter and would definitely like to donate crocheted items.
